Our story

A piece of Thessaly on the Amstel

Thessaly is one of the thirteen regions of Greece, set in the heart of the mainland. Here rise the six floating monasteries of Meteora on their sandstone pillars — the inspiration for our logo and our kitchen.

Since 2020 we have been cooking in Uithoorn as a family business, with the respect that region deserves. Not a trend — simply Greek food as it comes to the table at home, with recipes passed down from generation to generation. Fresh herbs, generous portions and a wine list that is one hundred percent Greek.

Whether you're with four friends or a family table of twelve — our shared-dining platters (Larissa, Thessalia, Afroditi) are made to be passed around. From two people.

For birthdays, company dinners or a Christmas meal we are happy to welcome larger parties — with exclusive use of the entire restaurant on request. We're happy to think along with you.
